It's Official: I'm a GROUPIE!

I just had the best night ever, thanks to two amazing ladies... Jen Harris and Stephenie Meyers.
Stephenie Meyers came thru Oregon on her book tour for "The Host," and Jenn and I were right there in line with 13 year olds from Boise, and 40yr olds from Washington. I was so giddy today. I got my hair cut this morning and actually planned my outfit out in advance. It was just fun to get excited about something and share that with a girlfriend. I'm a little addicted to her books, so I don't reread them very often, but I did this last week and was so pumped to hear her speak and meet her. Very nice lady! We asked her if her husband had to work still, and she said "NO! He is very retired."
The actor who plays Sam Uley in the Twilight film was there too, he goes to school at Portland State and we took a picture of him.  His bio says he's 5'9", but I'm 5'6", so you be the judge if that is true.
Jen and I had such a great time and spoiled ourselves afterwards with dessert at Papa Haydn's. I love Portland. This town is so low key and interesting.

Thank You Mom & Grandma PJ

Here are the pictures you asked for.
Proof: we love the dresses!

Auntie Leesha

I wonder if my kids will know that their Auntie Leesha's real name is Alicia? I doubt it. I didn't know that my Grandma Ginna was really Virginia until I was in high school.
Leesh is in town and we got spoiled with her attention and beautiful smile. It's nice to have you round Leesh.

Scholls High Tea

What a fabulous SCORCHING Saturday it's been. It was 96 degrees in Portland today and yesterday was worse. My in laws live out in the country, and my mom in law, Paula (yes, my mom is Paula too! Gets confusing for the kiddies) is a part of the women's group out there. They had there annual High Tea today and I brought my friend Carmen and her girls and my two oldest, Kennedy and CC. We dressed up and had tea and scones and melted in the Scholls Grange. Then we went swimming at Grandma and Grandpas then to a carnival at K's elementary school. Phew! Long, fun, HOT, day.

Sheshells

Three teeth in two weeks, is that a record.
It sure is adorable to see her smile!
We've been sick for weeks. It's getting old.  Here's some shots of us on good days.
CC looking good.
Our Tongan friends had a combined birthday party for their 16 yr old daughter Tasha, and 8 yr old son Vili.  It was huge banquet with hundreds of people. Tasha looked gorgeous, like a bride.  There were about 16 wedding cakes and a parade of quilts and gifts for the family.
Peace sign to the backseaters. If you notice, we are in the drive thru at McD's.  Sadly, I'm on a first name basis with the Tigard McD's.  (Chelle - I have no idea how you do it without one.)
Sunny day = whip out the Dora slip-n-slide.
CC's hungry buns.
Bree dressing as a pirate baby.
Ava as a baby in her doll house.
